पाटोदी पश्चिमी राजस्थान में बाड़मेर जिले का एक छोटा सा शहर है। पाटोदी एक शहर जिसे 2019 में अमूर्त सांस्कृतिक विरासत में सूचीबद्ध किया गया है, यूनेस्को नई दिल्ली ने पर्यटन विभाग, राजस्थान सरकार के सहयोग से राजस्थान में सांस्कृतिक पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए एक पहल शुरू की है। पाटोदी शहर राजस्थान की अमूर्त सांस्कृतिक विरासत स्थलों में अपनी उत्कृष्टता और कशीदाकारी राजस्थानी जूती /मोजड़ी बनाने (पारंपरिक चमड़े के जूते), स्थानीय महिला कलाकारों द्वारा कढ़ाई डिजाइन की अनूठी शैली के लिए है।
पाटोदी में जीनगर समुदाय के 200 से अधिक परिवार अपने पुश्तैनी पारंपरिक राजस्थानी जूती /मोजड़ी बनाने में लगे हुए हैं। जीनगर समुदाय की महिलाओं के पास चमड़े के साथ-साथ शिल्प पर कढ़ाई में महारत हासिल है। शिल्पकार के हाथ में पारंपरिक चमड़े के वस्त्र और जूते बनाने का जादू होता है जिसे स्थानीय भाषा में राजस्थानी जूती /मोजड़ी कहा जाता है।
पर्यटन विभाग राजस्थान और यूनेस्को कलाकारों को मजबूत करने के लिए राजस्थान सांस्कृतिक विरासत हस्तशिल्प व्यवसाय की रक्षा और बढ़ावा देने के लिए पाटोदी शहर में हर साल एक हस्तशिल्प प्रदर्शनी आयोजित करते हैं।
पाटोदी का राजस्थानी जूती /मोजड़ी हस्तशिल्प व्यवसाय विलुप्त होने के कगार पर है और इसके अस्तित्व के लिए सरकार से तत्काल सहायता और समर्थन की आवश्यकता है।

More than 200 families of Jeengar Community are engaged in their ancestral traditional handmade embroidered Rajasthani Jooti ( Mojari) Making. The women's of the Jeengar Community have excel in embroidery on leatherwears as well as crafts. The craftsman have a magic in their hands for making traditionalal leather wears and footwear that is called Marwadi Jooti / Mojari in the local language.
The Tourism Department Rajasthan and UNESCO organise a handicrafts exhibition every year in Patodi town to protect and promote the Rajasthan cultural heritage embroidered Rajasthani Jooti ( Mojari) handicrafts business to strengthen the artists.
Patodi's Rajasthani Jooti ( Mojari) handicrafts business is on the brink of extinction and urgently needed help and support from the government for it survival.
