श्री मल्लीनाथ पशु मेला तिलवाड़ा बालोतरा राजस्थान हर साल मार्च के महीने में तिलवाड़ा राजस्थान में लूनी नदी के तट पर श्री मल्लीनाथ मंदिर के पास आयोजित किया जाता है।  मल्लीनाथ पशु मेला, पुष्कर मेले के बाद राजस्थान का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा मेला है।

 विभिन्न राज्यों और आसपास के गांवों से हजारों पशु व्यापारी, पशुपालक, किसान, ग्रामीण और आम लोग मेले में आए और अपने पशुओं का व्यापार किया।

 मल्लीनाथ पशु मेला बालोतरा घोड़ा मेला, तिलवाड़ा मेला और छेत्री मेला जैसे विभिन्न नामों से लोगों के बीच लोकप्रिय है।  यह मेला मुख्य रूप से मारवाड़ी घोड़ों के लिए प्रसिद्ध है।  इसलिए यह राजस्थान का सबसे बड़ा घोड़ा मेला है।  कई नस्ल के घोड़े जैसे सिंधी घोड़ा, पंजाबी घोड़ा, काठियावाड़ी घोड़ा और अन्य नस्ल के घोड़े भी बेचे और खरीदे जाते हैं।  मेले में विभिन्न नस्ल की गायें, बैल और जैसलमेर और सांचौर नस्ल के ऊंट भी लाए जाते हैं और उनका व्यापार किया जाता है।  मल्लीनाथ पशु मेला आधिकारिक तौर पर हर साल होली के ग्यारहवें दिन के बाद जिला कलेक्टर द्वारा मेला ध्वज फहराने के साथ शुरू होता है।  यह 15 दिनों तक चलता है.  मेले के दौरान राज्य केंद्र सरकार और गैर सरकारी संगठनों द्वारा कई सांस्कृतिक गतिविधियाँ, कृषि और पशुधन प्रदर्शनी आयोजित की जाती हैं। उन्नत नस्ल के घोड़े  और मवेशियों की सर्वोत्तम नस्ल को पुरस्कृत किया जाता है।

 रेसिंग ट्रैक पर विभिन्न नस्लों के बीच घोड़े की दौड़ और ऊंट की दौड़ मेले का मुख्य आकर्षण है।  मेले में सैकड़ों लोग दौड़ देखते हैं और मनोरंजन करते हैं।

 मेले में एक बड़ा विक्रेता बाजार लगाया जाता है।  खरीदारी के लिए जानवरों के लिए त्योहारों, कृषि उपकरण, घरेलू सामान, खेती का सामान, लाठी, तलवार और ढाल, भोजन और पेय और खिलौनों के कई स्टॉल लगाए गए हैं।  ग्रामीण लोग और आसपास के शहरी लोग खरीदारी और मनोरंजन के उद्देश्य से आते हैं।

 भारत को मेलों और त्यौहारों की भूमि कहा जाता है।

 मेले और त्यौहार न केवल मनोरंजन प्रदान करते हैं बल्कि हजारों लोगों को प्रत्यक्ष या अप्रत्यक्ष रूप से रोजगार भी प्रदान करते हैं।  मेले एवं त्यौहार ग्रामीण अर्थव्यवस्था की रीढ़ हैं।

 मेले राजस्थान की सामाजिक सद्भाव, लोक परंपराओं और सांस्कृतिक विरासत को बनाए रखने में भी मदद करते हैं।

Shri Mallinath Cattle Fair Tilwara Balotra Rajasthan  is held every year in the month of  March near by Shri Mallinath temple at the bank of Luni river Tilwara Rajasthan. The Mallinath Cattle fair is the second largest fair in Rajasthan after the Pushkar Fair.

Thousands of  livestock traders, animal rearers, farmers ,rural folks and common people from the different states & near by villages visited the fair and trade their livestock.

The Mallinath Cattle fair is popular among the people with various names like Balotra Horse Fair, Tilwara Mela and Chetri Mela . The fair is famous for Marwadi horses. So it is the biggest horse fair of Rajsthan. Many   horse breed like, Sindhi horse, Punjabi horse, Kathiyawadi horse and others breed horses are also sold and purchased . Various breed Cows, oxen  and Jaisalmer & Sanchore breed camels are also brought and trade in the fair. The Mallinath Cattle fair officially starts after eleventh day of Holi every year with the unfurling of the fair flag by the district collector . It lasts till 15 days. Many cultural activities , agriculture and livestock exibition are organised by the State  Central Govt & NGOs during the fair.

The best breed of horse and cattle are  awarded.

Horse race and camel race among the various breed at racing track is the main attraction of the fair . Hundreds of people witness the race in the fair and entertain .

A big vender market is setup in the fair . Many stalls of festoons for animals ,  agriculture tools, household items, cultlery items, sticks, swords and shields ,food and beverage and toys stalls are setup for shoping. Rural folk  and nearby urban people visit for the sake of shoping  and entertainment purpose .

India is called the land of fairs and festivals. 

Fairs and festivals not only provide the entertainment but also provide directly or indirectly employements to thousands of people . Fair and festival are backbone of rural economy.

Fairs also help to maintain the social harmony , folk traditions and cultural Heritage of  Rajasthan.
